Returns & Refund Policy

Effective Date: July 2026

1. Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

2. Change of Mind

Freshwater Small Engines & Motorcycles is not required to provide a refund or exchange if you change your mind. Any change-of-mind return is entirely at our discretion. If approved, the product must be unused, in its original packaging, in resalable condition and accompanied by proof of purchase.

3. Special Orders & Pre-Orders

Products specially ordered or pre-ordered at a customer's request cannot be cancelled, returned or refunded for change of mind once the order has been placed with our supplier. Deposits paid on special orders and pre-orders are non-refundable unless otherwise required by the Australian Consumer Law.

4. Warranty Claims

Products covered by a manufacturer's warranty will be assessed in accordance with the manufacturer's warranty terms and conditions. Warranty claims may require inspection, testing or assessment before a repair, replacement or refund is approved.

5. Non-Returnable Items

Unless required under the Australian Consumer Law, returns will not be accepted for:
• Used products.
• Electrical items that have been installed or used.
• Fuel, oil, lubricants and consumables.
• Clearance or discontinued items sold as final sale.
• Products damaged through misuse, neglect, incorrect fuel, contamination, accidental damage, modifications or failure to follow operating instructions.

6. Shipping & Freight

Shipping and freight charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error or is otherwise required by the Australian Consumer Law.
